I'm Kerrin McMurdie, founder and owner of Sprout and Goose Travel. The names "Sprout" and "Goose" are my children's nicknames, courtesy of my husband. Travel has been a constant in my life. It’s shaped who I am, nourishing my soul and expanding my mind. I firmly believe in travel's power to refresh us from daily stress and broaden our understanding of ourselves and the world. My children have been traveling since infancy, and it’s helped them grow flexible, open-minded, and appreciative of human diversity. My favorite travel moments are with them, seeing the world through their eyes and watching how these experiences shape who they are. That’s why I named my company Sprout and Goose Travel.
My Story
My travel journey began after college when I worked as a consultant in IT education. While I loved my work, it was the travel opportunities—domestic and abroad—that truly fueled my passion. Over the years, I lived, played, and worked across the US, Europe, and Asia, planting the seeds of my deep love for travel. Now, 25 years later, with a family in tow, travel remains my greatest joy—whether for work, relaxation, adventure, or family visits.
Before starting this business, I spent my free time researching destinations, properties, and experiences I wanted to explore. I’ve planned countless holidays for my family and friends, and when the time came to shift my career, I decided to share my passion with others.​
With years of travel experience—solo, with friends, as a couple, or with family—I've explored diverse destinations. From safaris in Africa to European adventures, round-the-world trips, relaxing beach holidays, US road trips, and the US National Parks, I’ve seen it all. I love planning trips that bring joy to my travelers. Sprout and Goose is built on one core principle: Relationships. I’m here to partner with you, understand your needs, and craft an experience that connects you and your loved ones to your joy.
